Just when we think it's Spring, it starts snowing up country! Thankfully not in Devon.
My energy levels have been very low with this horrid cough [ nicknamed the 100 day cough] and various viruses which seem to be doing the rounds. I like to use the Winter for resting, planning and hunkering down so I don't feel quite ready for coming out into Spring yet, but I'll get there. I have to start by planning my seed planting and vegetable garden and then when the weather is good I'm out there like a shot as I love being outside.
So what has been happening in the studio? I have been teaching again, just small numbers
[ one or two students which suits me fine].
I have working on a drypoint with chine colle for a book project involving the printmaking group at Salcombe, the title being " The Eyes have it". We will each make a book created from using each others prints, it's a lovely collaborative thing to do and I always love the finished pieces.
Before Christmas I was lucky enough to visit Mothecombe Gardens on the Flete estate and I will be holding a one day exhibition during one of their open Tuesdays. It's such a wonderful place to be, the gardens are beautiful and the views down to the sea are stunning.
I have a few events coming up so check out the Exhibitions page.
This month I am working on a commission which always takes a lot of thinking about and planning before any printing is done, so I will look forward to putting it all together before Easter.
I am pleased to say that I am still doing a daily doodle, sketch in my little book each day, quite proud I have managed to keep it up!
Keep creating, catch up again soon.
